R.I.P. David Bowie
January 8, 1947 – January 10, 2016
This was, hands down, the best tribute performance I saw after David passing 10 years ago today! The tribute to me was about David! Bravo Lorde! Well done.
I was very disappointed with what was done on the GRAMMYS that year, it was more about the performer than it was about David!
This is something I put together years ago and decided to modify by using some of my own creativity… my 1983 photo from the Serious Moonlight Tour inside the Blackstar, a recreation of the David Bowie logo from the Young Americans album that I did sometime in the ’70s at the top, my autographed program from the 1987 Glass Spider Tour the year I met David in person, and of course David’s own words spoken to students of the Berklee College of Music in 1999, that could very well have been something I would have written….
