Vinyl Etc. is my new space for everything vinyl and more – a place to share my passion for music, for collecting and selling records, for telling stories, and for whatever else might sneak in.
It’s still taking shape, but for now you’ll find a few lists of records and CDs for sale, along with some stories I hope you’ll enjoy. And here’s a couple of quotes from two of my favourite artists, words to inspire me…

A passion for collecting vinyl etc.
My love of records goes back to the early ’70s — first in Bournemouth, England where I was born, then in Vancouver, and now in Ottawa – spending hours in record shops and saving up for the albums I couldn’t get enough of. Bringing them home and lowering the needle for the first time was always the best part. What began as a teenage obsession became a lifelong habit.
Over the years I’ve collected records, CDs, and music memorabilia (the “etc” in Vinyl Etc.) — buying, selling, and trading when the time felt right. I also spent several years working in the music industry, which only deepened the connection.
From eBay to Kijiji to Facebook — and now here — I’ve been sharing pieces of my collection off and on for quite some time. Below you’ll find links to my current listings for used records and CDs, with more to come.

A passion for telling stories
My years in the music business in the ’80s gave me more than a career — they gave me stories. And even after changing paths and starting my own business as a graphic designer, the music never really left. It never does.
I still find ways to share it — shooting concerts and sharing the photographs, talking about the latest record I’ve picked up, or simply telling a good story. I’ve been told I tell them well… maybe I missed my calling as a late-night radio host— something I did dabble in for a while.
For now, here’s a link to some older stories rescued from Facebook. As time permits, I’ll bring more back to life — and add new ones as they come to me.
