The Wallflowers Bringing Down the Horse 30th Anniversary Tour at History Ottawa

Back in August in the middle of my cycling challenge I took time from pedalling all day, to stand all night!! I know, when it comes to music and cycling I’m a glutton for punishment! What can I say, I’m a confirmed melophile and velociphile! On August 20th Ottawa saw the opening of a new concert venue downtown, History Ottawa! The Wallflowers, led by Jakob Dylan, was the Official Grand Opening of History Ottawa on Rideau Street in the ByWard Market, a two level venue with a capacity of 2,000, this place will be a game changer for concerts in Ottawa! Opening for The Wallflowers was Early James… they’re from Alabama and they let us know they were sorry about that! LOL! The Wallflowers Tour celebrates the 30th Anniversary of their first album Bringing Down the Horse, playing it in it’s entirety, and is also a Tribute to Tom Petty’s Long After Dark album, and there were a few encore surprises too. I posted a few photos over on Facebook after the show, but due to said cycling I’ve only just had time today to process all my photos, I shot a few videos too and will add them here later this week.

The Wallflowers performed Tom Petty’s 1982 Long After Dark album in it’s entirety.
