David Bowie: You’re Not Alone

David Bowie: You’re Not Alone showing at The Lighthouse in London, England until October 10, 2026. The out of this world portion of my recent trip to the U.K. to meet up with my twin brother, hit up Record Store Day in Bristol on our birthday, and on the way home a visit to the town where we were born, and coincidentally so was “David Bowie”, but more on that later… and yes, it was “wonderful”!

Oh no, love, you’re not alone
You’re watching yourself, but you’re too unfair
You got your head all tangled up
But if I could only make you care
Oh no, love, you’re not alone
No matter what or who you’ve been
No matter when or where you’ve seen
All the knives seem to lacerate your brain
I’ve had my share, I’ll help you with the pain
You’re not alone.

Just turn on with me, and you’re not alone
Let’s turn on and be not alone (Wonderful)
Give me your hands, ’cause you’re wonderful (Wonderful)
Just give your hands, ’cause you’re wonderful (Wonderful)
Oh, give me your hands, ’cause you’re wonderful (Wonderful)
Oh, give me your hands.

This show was not only out of this world, but it was wonderful! Far better than I had expected, my hats off to all who were involved!! I only wish I had planned it better so that I could have stayed longer and seen it through at least twice. A lot of video footage I have never seen before and for me, born in Bournemouth and grew up in Vancouver, the BBC documentary footage from the Bournemouth show in 1973, and footage of the Vancouver shows in 1976 (Station to Station Tour) and 1983 (Serious Moonlight Tour) were especially moving! I was told that this would be the closest I will ever get to seeing David live… and I 100% agree… you’re in a venue with hundreds of people and footage of an audience of thousands in front of you watching Bowie live! An opportunity no Bowie fan should miss!

Here’s a slideshow of photos I took at the show on April 26:

And here’s a short video on my YouTube account that I put together that includes three clips from the one hour streaming show on April 26. The last clip is especially cool for me as I was at the very show in the clip in Vancouver back in 1983 at the Coliseum. So, it’s like I’m shooting me, shooting David Bowie – cool!!
