Whitehorse at Neat Coffee Shop in Burnstown, Ontario, June 27, 2025. I first discovered this band back in 2012 at Ottawa’s Folk Festival and quickly introduced my daughter to them the next year. I’ve lost track of how many times we’ve seen Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland of Whitehorse, but we go every chance we get. It’s been a couple of years, but when I heard they were playing a small venue an hour’s drive from Ottawa I grabbed tickets right away. It sold out pretty fast and they added a second night, which also sold out pretty fast. We’ll be seeing them both again in the fall, as both Luke and Melissa also play in Sarah McLachlan’s band who are playing in Ottawa in October. I love Sarah, but getting to see these guys on stage with Sarah will make it that much sweeter!
